Not seeing badges for states I have in. Location is always on.

The badges are earned when the app performs a check-in. If you’ve checked into a state you should eventually see the badge added to your collection. Sometimes it is instantaneous, sometimes it takes a day or so. Unfortunately, the phone is not always able to extract what state you are in based off of your location. That is a service that our app does not have control over, so we can’t guarantee that every check-in will earn a badge. Having your location permissions set to ‘Always Allow’ (as you do) for this app will give you the best chance at receiving all of your badges as this setting allows us to update your location and attempt to detect the state the most frequently. We understand this is frustrating and hope as time goes by that the phone’s location/state detection service will improve.

How do I check in and do I need to do that every time I change states?

If you have your location set to Always Allow - it will automatically check in for you when you move, so you don’t have to do anything. Otherwise it will prompt you to check-in when you’ve moved a significant distance. That just involves tapping a button that says ‘Check-In’. The problem comes when the location service can’t detect what state you’re in. Unfortunately, that’s not part of our app so we can’t improve that.
